880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz frequency band planning for IMT public terrestrial mobile information system
On May 10, 2024, the Minister of Information and Communications issued Circular 04/2024/TT-BTTTT 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz frequency band planning for Vietnam’s IMT system.
In which, the content of the 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz frequency band planning for the IMT public terrestrial mobile information system is stipulated as follows:
– The 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz frequency bands are used to deploy the public terrestrial mobile information system according to the IMT-2000, IMT-Advanced, IMT-2020 and subsequent versions standards using the frequency division duplex transmission method (hereinafter referred to as the FDD method);
– The 880-915 MHz frequency band is used as the uplink frequency band, divided into 04 blocks B1, B2, B3 and B4 with corresponding widths of 10 MHz, 8.4 MHz, 8.2 MHz and 8.2 MHz;
– The 925-960 MHz band is used as the downlink band, divided into 04 blocks B1’, B2’, B3’ and B4’ with widths of 10 MHz, 8.4 MHz, 8.2 MHz and 8.2 MHz respectively;
– The maximum limit of the total bandwidth that an organization is licensed to use in the 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz bands is 2×10 MHz according to the FDD method;
– Organizations licensed to use the frequency band in the 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz bands are responsible for coordinating with each other to prevent and handle harmful interference.
